(If there are any of the archery shops, outfitters or other manufacturers who would like to contribute something to the contest we will accept anything and in turn you will get your name published several times during the year. If the prize is sufficient we will trade for a regular advertisement.)

THE RULES
All contributors must be members of OBH at the time of submission of their photo or article. One entry will be provided for each photo or article published. Decisions on publishing are the sole responsibility of the Editor.

THE GUIDELINES
As of January, 2001, we accept all manuscripts submitted by members of the Oregon Bow Hunter's Association including stories about bow hunting in Oregon or other states if it is about members of OBH and their hunting experiences.

We will accept stories from other sources including "How To" or hunting adventures but we do not have a budget to compensate authors for their efforts. They must be satisfied with our heartfelt gratitude.

Submissions must be typewritten, single-spaced in a 12 point font or larger. Preferred method of submissions is electronic by floppy disk or e-mail in Word for Windows 98. Some other formats can be accepted as long as they are in DOS. Articles should be from 500 to 750 words. Letters to the editor are limited to 250 words. Poems and/or other brief informational texts should be less than 500 words.

Photographs must be 3"x4" or larger, clear and crisp. Slides cannot be accepted. Photos will not be returned unless accompanied by a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE). All submissions should include a brief biography of the author.

WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER CONTEST
All submissions printed, either text or photos will be entered into the Oregon Bowhunter Magazine's Writers & Photographers Contest. The rules are; each submission printed will give the author/photographer one entry in the contest. At the editorial deadline for the November/December issue (October 1) all names will be put into a hat and the winning entries drawn. Winners will be notified by phone and the winners will be published in the winter issue. Prizes are dependent on contributions to the contest.

Grand Prize and Prizes Provided by OBH Require Membership in OBH Prior to Submission for Publication!
