E.E. Wilson Archery Range Hosting Opportunity
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) has offered the Oregon Bow Hunters (OBH) an opportunity to provide host's at the new archery range at the E. E. Wilson Wildlife Area located north of Corvallis. Hosting duty would be for one Saturday per month. The ODFW archery trailer would be available so we have access to archery equipment to use for range participants who do not bring their own equipment. ODFW will post the schedule of our participation on their web site and otherwise promote our involvement. The hope is that we may be able to help people using the range, to provide archery advice or have minor equipment issues, and be able to interact with both adults and youths who may have little or no experience with archery. This also gives OBH an opportunity for new membership through our exposure at the range.
OBH is now tentatively scheduled to provide hosts at the E. E. Wilson Archery Range on the third Saturday of each month, beginning in March through November in 2015. The first date will be Saturday, March 21, 2015. The publicized schedule hours of or participation will be from 9 AM to 4 PM, however, I would like to try to have hosts there until 7 PM during June, July and August when daylight extends further into the evening hours and there will likely be more folks out using the range in preparation for hunting season. I would hope we will have enough people willing to volunteer to be able to schedule two (2) shifts for those three (3) Saturdays, to enable shorter volunteer working hours. The shifts on those Saturdays would be 9 AM to 2:30 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM. You will notice that there is a short transitional overlap in case any coordination is needed during the shift change.
We are developing a schedule for the dates in which we need volunteer hosts. We prefer to have at least two (2) volunteers on site, and as mentioned above, for the months of June through August we will need four (4) people, for (2) two shifts per day.

If you could contact Craig Starr regarding date(s) you would be willing to serve as a host at the range, he will coordinate the schedule. If you are willing to sign up for one (1) of the June, July or August dates and have a preference for one of the shifts, please also indicate which shift you would prefer, morning or evening.
