Convention Raffle & Auctions
There are many opportunities to win or purchase top-quality archery equipment and other great outdoor gear, hunts and art items in the variety of fund-raising raffles or auctions at the 2017 OBH banquet. If you're “in the market” for a new bow, sight, quiver or any number . of other items, the OBH banquet is a great opportunity to get what you want and at the same time you can help OBH's fund raising efforts so that we may become an even stronger advocate for you as an archer.
The 2017 OBH Convention fundraisers will include a general raffle as well as silent and oral auctions. In 2016, there was over $25,000 worth of merchandise, hunts, etc., available in the raffle & auctions, and 2017 seems likely to offer a similar value. All of the bidding in the auctions occurs at the Convention banquet, but banquet dinner ticket packages that include general raffle tickets may be pre-purchased beginning now. General raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at the banquet at $1 per ticket, 6 for $5, 12 for $10 or 25 for $20.
A Wall of Guns raffle will be offered again at the 2017 Convention banquet. Three (3) firearms will be available in the raffle. Although the specific firearms to be offered haven't been selected yet, the total value of the firearms will be about $1,500 with the minimum value of any firearm in the raffle exceeding $300 and at least one of the firearms valued at more than $500. Only 200 tickets will be sold for this raffle and tickets for the raffle can be pre-purchased with banquet reservations. Tickets will be sold on a first come – first served basis until the maximum of 200 tickets has been reached. If any Wall of Guns tickets remain unsold after all banquet reservations have been received, the remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the banquet at $20 per ticket, 3 tickets for $50 or 7 tickets for $100. The individuals who purchased the first three (3) tickets drawn from the raffle entries will get to choose one of the three (3) firearms in the order that the tickets are drawn.
The Pick of the Herd raffle will also be continued at the 2017 Convention banquet. Only 100 tickets will be available for this raffle and the individual who purchased the single ticket drawn from the raffle entries will get to choose any item of auction merchandise (hunts excluded) before the oral auction begins. Although the auction items are as yet unknown, at least one (1) choice of a bow valued at over $900 will be available for the lucky ticket holder to choose if he/she wishes. The 100 tickets for this raffle will be sold on a first come – first served basis until the maximum of 100 tickets has been reached. If any Pick of the Herd tickets remain unsold after all banquet reservations have been received, the remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the banquet at $20 per ticket, 3 tickets for $50 or 7 tickets for $100.
Join the fun at the 2017 OBH Convention banquet and you might just come away with the new bow, firearm or other gear that you've been thinking of buying anyway!!
